Welcome to a safe space
Therapy can be a gentle space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. Together we explore your thoughts and emotions while building tools that support healing and balance in everyday life.

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, relational, and integrative—designed to meet you where you are, while gently supporting where you want to go.
At the heart of this work is a simple understanding: our present experiences are deeply shaped by our past.
Therapy begins with safety. We move at a pace that feels right for you—building awareness, emotional regulation, and inner steadiness.
We explore recurring emotional and relational patterns with curiosity, helping you gain deeper insight into your inner world.
The therapeutic relationship offers a space to feel seen and understood—opening new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Drawing from multiple approaches, therapy adapts to your unique needs rather than fitting you into a single method.
Over time, this work supports self-understanding, self-compassion, and more fulfilling relationships.
A collaborative process where your story meets guidance and care—creating space for lasting change.
Four stages that guide our work together
Therapy begins with attentive listening and creating a safe space where you feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment.
Together we explore emotions, experiences, and patterns to develop deeper insight into how past experiences shape present feelings and relationships.
Using trauma‑informed and evidence‑based approaches, we work through difficult emotions and experiences at a pace that feels safe and supportive.
The goal of therapy is meaningful growth — developing healthier emotional patterns, stronger self‑understanding, and practical ways to navigate life.
The person behind the practice

Sometimes what we need isn't answers — but a space where we can begin to understand ourselves.
Hi, I'm Aashraya. You're welcome here - just as you are, with whatever you're carrying.
My journey into this work is shaped as much by lived experience as it is by training. There was a time when anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and low mood felt constant - like being in a tunnel with no clear way out. I remember what it's like to feel lost in your own thoughts, carrying emotions that are hard to explain, and wondering if things would always feel this way.
In that space, I found myself turning to expression - painting, writing, music - as ways of making sense of what I couldn't yet put into words. These became ways of gently sitting with my emotions, of wading through the darkest waters when nothing else felt accessible.
What also stood out to me during that time was the lack of awareness and accessible understanding around mental health. Not knowing what I was experiencing, or how to make sense of it, often made me feel even more isolated - like I was alone in something I didn't fully understand.
Over time, with the right kind of support, things began to shift. I learned how to understand myself more deeply, and in many ways, how to swim again. I began to notice that even in the darkest moments, there were traces of light - not just at the end of the tunnel, but within it.
These experiences shaped both my story and my vision.
I approach therapy as a deeply human, relational process - one that allows space for both understanding and expression. Alongside psychotherapy, I also gently integrate creative approaches when it feels helpful, offering different ways to explore what may be difficult to articulate.
At the same time, I hold a strong commitment to psychoeducation and awareness-building. Because of what I experienced, I believe that having the language, knowledge, and understanding around mental health can be incredibly empowering. It can reduce isolation, bring clarity, and help people feel less alone in what they're going through.
Through my work, I strive to make this understanding more accessible - to offer not just support, but also insight, awareness, and a deeper sense of connection to oneself.
For me, psychotherapy is not just a profession - it is a calling. My intention is to offer a space that feels safe, steady, and non-judgmental, where you can move at your own pace, feel genuinely met, and begin to understand yourself with greater clarity and compassion.
I believe that meaningful change doesn't come from forcing yourself to be different, but from feeling seen, understood, and supported enough to reconnect with who you already are.
You don't have to go through this alone. It'll be a pleasure to walk alongside you.
Aashraya — Psychotherapist
Every healing journey is deeply personal. These reflections come from people who chose to share a part of their story and the changes they experienced through therapy.
I've had a very positive experience. I find that therapy alleviates some of the pressure of bettering yourself since you don't have to figure it all out on your own. Its been a few months and now i feel more equipped to deal with my problems.

I have lupus, and autoimmune condition, for the past 3+ years. I was diagnosed with it roughly a year and half after I got married..and started staying with two different generations other than my own. While my family was never the villain here, I battled with this unnecessary guilt of not being able to give my family enough time or contribute to house chores because of my work hours. I think they call it superwoman complex? Anyway, the more I understood my autoimmune condition- the more I realised how psychosomatic it was..and that it was super important for me to keep stress and anxiety at bay. Add to it the fact that lupus had messed with my reproductive system- high inflammation meant I now have very few quality eggs remaining. That threw me into trying to prepare to start a family.. because I was told it would probably take a while..more than what regular couples need. And if it got too late..I might even need IVF! The mess in my mind made me turn to Wellheard..and it’s been such a blessing! My therapist Aashraya, gave me the tools to minimize my guilt- she made me challenge my own thoughts about a particular situation. Its tough but I am sticking to it. It had helped me think about situations from a different perspective and that also helps keep my anxiety down. And…I am also beginning my motherhood journey now, quite unexpectedly, and without the need of IVF! Thanks To my therapist Aashraya, for being a part of this journey so far

Like most folks in our country, I thought therapy would be like what they show in movies. While those topics are essential, psychotherapy is much more than that, and I learnt so much about it and myself. My therapist, Aashraya, really changed things for me; it would be an understatement to say that this was a game‑changer.

A therapist can either stick to their standard methods or customise the plan according to the client. Aashraya did that with ease for me. The homework, clarity and structure helped me start seeing improvement after a few sessions.

Like most folks in our country, I thought therapy would be like what they show in movies: a couch, lying down and talking only about how your parent’s childhood, etc. While those topics are essential, psychotherapy is much more than that, and I learnt so much about it and myself. My therapist, Aashraya, really changed things for me; it would be an understatement to say that this was a game-changer for me. I was in a dark headspace, to be completely honest; the only good thing I did was book an appointment and talk about what I was going through. I will not get into the nitty-gritty of every issue, but let me tell you it involved everything from heartbreak, relationship issues, parental problems, health - both physical and mental, career woes, and the list goes on. I liked how she customised her approach based on how I operate now. Some would say it isn’t that expected behaviour, but I would say Yes and No. A therapist can either stick to their standard methods and procedures or be malleable and customise the plan according to the client, and Aashraya did that with ease for me; not only was everything adequately documented, but she was highly responsive whenever I sent any emails outside of our regular session timings. If I recall correctly, I started seeing early signs of improvement after session 4 or 5; after session ten or so, I had already started getting some clarity: the homework assigned, the topic of the next session already mentioned, the various aspects of progress, the themes of areas where work needed to be done, clarity and explanation of the method being incorporated and how it is helping and what are the next steps. One last thing I’d like to mention before I end this review: therapy is not a magic pill; it’s a collaboration between you and your therapist; if you are willing to put in the work needed, you will see improvement.

For You
Healing is not about rushing toward a destination — it is about creating space to understand yourself, your emotions, and your experiences. This space is designed to support you as you move at your own pace, gently and with care.
Healing is a deeply personal journey, and there is no single way to move through it. Sometimes it begins with simply noticing what you are feeling, without judgment or pressure to change it right away. In this space, we gently explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences together, helping you make sense of what may feel confusing or overwhelming.
Over time, therapy becomes a place where patterns begin to feel clearer, where difficult emotions can be held with care, and where small shifts can lead to meaningful change. You are not expected to have everything figured out — the process unfolds at a pace that feels safe and right for you.
This is a space for reflection, understanding, and growth. A space where you can pause, breathe, and begin reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels supportive and steady.
— at your own pace, always.

Working Together
Beginning therapy can feel like a meaningful and sometimes vulnerable step. I like to keep the process as clear, supportive and grounded as possible from the very start. This space is designed to support emotional clarity, self-understanding, and deeper inner work — at a pace that feels thoughtful, steady, and attuned to where you are.
While a single session can sometimes offer insight or immediate relief, therapy often becomes most meaningful when there is continuity and consistency — especially in the beginning.
Emotional patterns, relationship struggles, self-worth, grief, anxiety, and deeper inner conflicts usually do not unfold all at once — they begin to make sense over time, within a space that feels safe enough to return to.
This is why many clients choose to work in a more ongoing way, allowing room for trust, reflection, and lasting shifts rather than only momentary clarity.
Getting Started
A brief space for us to understand what you're looking for, explore whether the fit feels right, and clarify any practical questions before beginning.
No commitment required · Entirely optional
Starting therapy can bring up many questions — about what to expect, how the process works, and whether it’s the right step for you. Here are some common questions that may help you feel more comfortable and informed as you begin your journey.
